WELCOME TO EVANS ELEMENTARY 4TH GRADE ENERGY BLOG! THIS BLOG WILL HELP GUIDE US AS WE EXPLORE THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF ENERGY INCLUDING TYPES OF ENERGY, WAYS TO SAVE ENERGY, AND HOW IT AFFECTS OUR ENVIRONMENT.
Thermal energy is caused by the vibration of atoms and molecules. Geothermal energy is a form of thermal energy produced from the earth by the fission of urainium 235 and alpha particles. A megaton H-bomb uses thermonucler energy.
A way to get thermal energy is to take an isotope (iodine 131) and extract a neutron from the nuclieus. Fire the neutron at the isotope's nuclieus. Inside the nuclieus, the strong force weakens and the protons begin to repel each other. The nuclieus goes into a process called fission. The nuclieus explodes and releases vast amounts of thermal energy.
hello hunter and nick. i have a question. it is, what is clorine when it is put with uraniun and blown up? please give me the answer. also, nice answers!
